A 64 GB kit of two 32 GB DDR5 4800 CL40 ECC registered DIMMs for Dell PowerEdge XE9680 servers
This 64GB kit contains two 32GB DDR5 ECC RDIMM modules validated for the Dell PowerEdge XE9680 rack server. Each module runs at 4800 MT/s with CL40 latency and 1.10V voltage. The registered design adds a buffer between the memory controller and DRAM chips for signal integrity in dense configurations. It targets IT teams expanding capacity in this specific platform.
The 288-pin RDIMM form factor fits the XE9680 memory slots and requires a motherboard that supports registered ECC DDR5. The 2Rx8 organisation presents two ranks per module, allowing the memory controller to interleave accesses across ranks. No heat spreader is included, so airflow through the server chassis must meet Dell thermal guidelines. Mixing with unbuffered or non-ECC modules is not supported.
Two 32GB modules deliver 64GB of error-correcting capacity for virtualisation, database or HPC workloads on the XE9680. The CL40 timing at 4800 MT/s provides baseline throughput; latency-sensitive tasks may benefit from lower-latency modules if the platform supports them. Maximum capacity is limited by the number of populated slots and the server memory controller specification.

The modules run at DDR5 4800 with CL40 timing; latency is fixed by the JEDEC specification for this speed grade.
Registered DDR5 at 1.1 V draws low power per module, and the kit has no heat spreader, so airflow in the Dell PowerEdge XE9680 chassis handles cooling.
The memory is validated for the Dell PowerEdge XE9680 rack server; it requires that platform's DDR5 RDIMM slots and registered-memory support.
