The Netgear ProSafe GS510TPP-100NAS is an 8-port Gigabit Ethernet switch with 2 dedicated SFP uplink ports. It delivers 190W of PoE+ power across all eight RJ45 ports for devices such as IP cameras, VoIP phones and wireless access points. The smart-managed operating system provides Layer 3 static routing, VLANs, QoS and SNMP control through a web GUI. It suits small-business networks that need powered ports and advanced traffic management without a full Layer 3 chassis.

190W PoE budget and Layer 3 routing

The 190W PoE+ budget supports up to 30W per port for high-draw endpoints such as PTZ cameras or Wave 2 access points. Layer 3 static routing handles 32 IPv4/IPv6 routes for inter-VLAN traffic, while the 16K MAC table and 1.5MB buffer absorb bursty loads. Jumbo frames up to 9KB reduce overhead on storage or backup flows. The switch runs out of PoE headroom if every port draws maximum power simultaneously, and the 32-route table limits complex multi-site topologies.

Rack or desktop mounting with dual SFP uplinks

The chassis includes brackets for 19-inch rack mounting or desktop placement, and ships with all required hardware. Two dedicated SFP slots accept fiber or copper transceivers for uplinks to a core switch or router, freeing all eight RJ45 ports for powered endpoints. Fan noise is kept low for office environments, and per-port LEDs show speed, link and activity at a glance. Builds that need more than two uplinks or a higher PoE budget will require a larger switch.
