Add-on Satellite for Orbi 870 Series

This Netgear Orbi 870 series satellite expands an existing Orbi 873 or RBE872 mesh system. It adds 3,000 sq. ft. of WiFi 7 coverage and connects to the main router through a dedicated wireless backhaul. The unit is powered by a quad-core 1.5 GHz processor and includes four 2.5 Gbps LAN ports for wired devices. Setup is completed through the Orbi mobile app.

Suits owners of compatible Orbi 870 mesh systems

Households that already run an RBE872 or RBE873 router can extend coverage to the garden, loft or basement with a single button press. The satellite supports up to 150 concurrent devices across its tri-band radios. Buyers who do not own a compatible Orbi 870 series router cannot use this unit to create a new network.

Tri-band WiFi 7 with 10 streams

The satellite delivers a combined 21 Gbps maximum wireless data rate across three bands: 6 GHz at 11,520 Mbps using 4x4 320 MHz 4K-QAM, 5 GHz at 8,640 Mbps using 4x4 240 MHz 4K-QAM, and 2.4 GHz at 688 Mbps using 2x2 40 MHz 1K-QAM. Eight internal antennas provide 360° coverage.
