38 in Installation Guide for Adhesive Matting

The New Pig GRP001 is a white high-density polyethylene tool designed to assist with laying adhesive-backed matting. Its 38 inch width matches broad roll formats to help maintain straight alignment during application. The rigid construction resists flexing so the guide stays flat across the work surface. Facility crews use it to speed up large-area installations with consistent results.

Replaces improvised straight-edges and narrow guides

The 38 inch span covers the full roll width in a single pass, removing the need to reposition shorter tools repeatedly. Upgrading makes sense when current methods leave gaps, wrinkles or misaligned seams that require rework. Teams working with narrower rolls or on small isolated patches will not gain the same efficiency from this width.

Questions about this item

What length and width must the surface be to accommodate this 38-inch wide guide?

The guide measures 38 inches wide and 5 3/4 inches long, so the mounting area needs at least those clear dimensions for full contact.

How is the tool positioned during installation and what common step is missed?

Lay the white polyethylene guide flat on the adhesive-backed matting, press firmly along its full length to seat the mat, then remove the guide before the adhesive cures.
