Newhope HDMI Capture Card 1080p 60fps USB 3.0

The Newhope capture card records and streams HDMI video at 1080p resolution and 60 frames per second over a USB 3.0 connection. It is aimed at creators who need a straightforward way to bring gameplay, camera feeds or other HDMI sources into a computer for live streaming, recording or video calls. No external power supply is required. The device works with Windows, macOS and Linux without installing drivers.

HDMI loop-out and microphone input

A built-in HDMI loop-out port passes the source signal to a display with no perceptible delay, letting the user play or present while the capture card records simultaneously. The 3.5 mm TRS microphone jack mixes external commentary directly into the captured audio stream, so a separate audio interface is not needed for basic voice-over work. The package includes an HDMI cable, a USB cable and a USB adapter.

Suited for single-source HDMI capture

This card suits streamers, educators or remote workers capturing one HDMI source at up to 1080p 60 fps who want plug-and-play operation across major operating systems and software such as OBS, Zoom or VLC. It does not satisfy users who need 4K capture, high-refresh-rate passthrough beyond 60 fps, multi-input switching, or professional SDI or analogue video inputs. Buyers requiring those capabilities should look at a different class of capture device.

Questions about this item

Does the USB 3.0 cable or the HDMI loop-out port need periodic replacement under normal use?

The capture card is a solid-state device with no moving parts; the supplied USB 3.0 cable and HDMI loop-out port are rated for the life of the unit and do not have a scheduled replacement interval.

What is the first limitation you hit when capturing continuously at 1080p 60fps?

The hard ceiling is the 1080p 60fps capture specification; the device cannot record or stream at a higher resolution or frame rate, so extended sessions are bounded by that maximum output.

How much heat or fan noise does the card produce during an all-day stream?

The unit draws power only from the USB 3.0 bus, has no internal fan, and runs cool enough for continuous operation without audible noise or noticeable heat buildup.
