Ideal for high-resolution photography

The Nikon D850 FX-Format Digital SLR Camera Body delivers 45.7MP full-frame CMOS sensor performance with the EXPEED 5A image processor. It suits hobbyist and professional photographers who need maximum detail for wedding photography, landscape work or evening photosets. The body-only configuration lets you pair it with existing Nikon F Bayonet Mount lenses.

Check lens compatibility and card speed

Verify that your current lenses use the Nikon F Bayonet Mount for full autofocus and metering function. Continuous shooting reaches 7 fps, so ensure your memory cards sustain the write speeds required for extended RAW (NEF) or JPEG (DCF Ver. 2.0, Exif Ver. 2.31) bursts. The camera accepts EN-EL18b rechargeable batteries for power.

Weather-sealed body with versatile controls

The magnesium alloy chassis includes a secondary top-panel display and a 3.2" tilting touchscreen LCD with 2.36M-dot resolution for flexible composition. Built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth enable remote shooting and image transfer. The 153-point AF system linked to 180,000-pixel metering tracks subject approach and recession reliably. ISO 64-25,600 expandable to 102,400 handles diverse lighting.

Questions about this item

Does the D850 body include a battery, charger or memory card, or do I need to buy them separately?

The package is body only; an EN-EL18b rechargeable battery, its charger and XQD or SD memory cards must be purchased separately.

Should I choose the 45.7MP D850 or the 26.0MP variant for maximum resolution?

The D850 delivers 45.7MP gross pixels on its full-frame CMOS sensor, while the 26.0MP figure refers to a lower-resolution mode; choose 45.7MP for highest detail.

What does the 45.7MP sensor actually give me when shooting 4K UHD video at 120 FPS in 1080p?

The 45.7MP sensor enables full-frame 4K UHD capture and 120 FPS slow-motion at 1080p, with 153-point AF and 180,000-pixel metering tracking subjects during recording.
