Nikon D5600 24.2MP DX-Format Kit

The Nikon D5600 is a DSLR camera built around a 24.2MP DX-Format CMOS sensor and EXPEED 4 image processor. It captures Full HD 1080p video at 60 fps and offers a native ISO range of 100-25600. The kit suits enthusiasts wanting an interchangeable-lens system with a vari-angle touchscreen for flexible composition. It includes two zoom lenses covering wide-angle through extreme telephoto reach.

Bundle Installation and Common Issues

The package arrives as a multi-component bundle requiring assembly of the camera body, two separate lenses, filters, battery, and memory card. The 650-1300mm lens uses a T-mount adapter and 2x converter, meaning manual focus and aperture control are necessary. Adding multiple filter layers on the 55mm threads can cause vignetting at the 18mm wide end. The variable ND filter density must be adjusted by rotating the ring while monitoring exposure.

F-Mount DX Lens Constraints

The included AF-P 18-55mm VR lens is designed for the Nikon F-mount DX format, projecting an image circle that covers the APS-C sensor. The 650-1300mm manual lens mounts via the supplied T-mount adapter, which lacks electronic communication with the body. Autofocus is unavailable on the telephoto lens, and the camera's 39-point Multi-CAM 4800DX AF sensor cannot drive focus on manual-optic attachments. Exposure metering may operate in stop-down mode with the adapted lens.

Questions about this item

How do I confirm the 39-point AF system is locking focus accurately after setup?

Take test shots at various distances and check that the focus points illuminate correctly in the viewfinder and on the 3.2-inch 1.037m-dot vari-angle touchscreen when reviewing images at 100 percent zoom.

Which accessories are included in the kit and what must I purchase separately?

The kit includes the D5600 body, AF-P 18-55mm VR lens, ULTIMAXX 650-1300mm manual zoom lens, T-mount, 2x converter, 1700mAh replacement battery, SanDisk 64GB Extreme PRO card, 55mm filter set, variable ND filter, wrist strap and cleaning cloth.

Should I choose the 18-55mm VR lens or the 650-1300mm lens for general photography?

Use the 18-55mm VR lens for everyday shooting with autofocus and vibration reduction; the 650-1300mm is a manual-focus telephoto for distant subjects and requires stable support or the 2x converter for extra reach.
