Nikon Z7 FX-Format Mirrorless Camera Body

The Nikon Z7 is a compact mirrorless camera built around an FX-format sensor. It uses the Nikon Z lens mount and accepts interchangeable lenses. The body includes a hot-shoe for flash or accessories and relies on an autofocus system. It is aimed at photographers who want full-frame image quality in a smaller form factor than a traditional DSLR.

Check lens compatibility

Verify that the Z-mount lenses you plan to use cover the FX-format image circle. Confirm whether your existing flash units or triggers work with the camera's hot-shoe interface. Ensure you have suitable XQD or CFexpress memory cards, as the camera does not use SD media. Review battery requirements and charger availability for extended shooting sessions.

Fits a lightweight full-frame kit with Z-mount glass

The body pairs with Nikon Z lenses to form a compact system that saves space compared to DSLR kits. Its hot-shoe supports external flashes, microphones or monitors for video work. The mirrorless design removes the reflex mirror, allowing a shorter flange distance and enabling lens adapters for other mounts. This frees up bag space for additional lenses or accessories.
