HDMI male to VGA female adapter

This Nippon Labs 30HM-VGA201-BK converter connects a source with an HDMI 19pin male output to a display that accepts a VGA female input. It suits laptops, tablets or desktop computers that lack a native VGA port. The black adapter carries both video and analogue audio through a 3.5mm jack.

Build integration and power

The unit draws extra power through a Micro USB socket when the source device supplies low current, such as certain MacBook Pro models. No driver installation is required on common operating systems. The 3.5mm audio output frees the HDMI audio channel for separate speakers or headphones.

Sustained signal performance

Bandwidth reaches 165MHz or 1.65Gbps per channel, totalling 6.75Gbps across all channels for the HDMI input. Analogue video output supports up to 1080p and UXGA resolutions through a 10-bit DAC. The converter maintains this throughput continuously without thermal throttling.
