30m Active HDMI Cable CL2

This 30 metre active HDMI cable carries high-speed signals up to 100 ft without loss. Built-in amplifier circuitry boosts the signal across the full distance. The CL2 rating allows in-wall installation where building codes require it. Male-to-male connectors plug directly into source and display.

Installers needing long in-wall runs

The active design suits installers who must route HDMI through walls or ceilings over 30 metres. CL2 compliance meets typical in-wall fire-safety requirements. Users with shorter desktop connections will find a passive cable simpler and less bulky. The cable is not intended for outdoor or plenum spaces.

26AWG gauge with active amplification

The 26AWG conductors combine with the integrated amplifier to maintain signal integrity at 30 metres. This gauge and active circuitry together determine whether the link will support 4kx2k resolution across the full length. Thinner passive cables cannot reliably cover this distance.

Questions about this item

What diameter conduit or trunking will the 26AWG cable and HDMI connectors pass through?

The cable uses a 26AWG gauge, which is slimmer than standard HDMI cables, so it fits through smaller conduit runs; the HDMI male connectors are the widest point and need an opening large enough for a standard HDMI plug.

Does the active amplifier draw power from the HDMI ports or need a separate supply?

The built-in active amplifier circuitry is powered directly from the HDMI source and display ports, so no external power adapter is required during installation.

Will the in-wall CL2 jacket degrade or need replacement after a certain period?

The CL2-rated jacket is designed for permanent in-wall installation and does not have a scheduled replacement interval; it only needs attention if the cable is physically damaged or pulled out during renovations.
