50 ft Hybrid Active Optical HDMI Cable

This 50 ft Nippon Labs cable uses hybrid active optical fiber technology to carry HDMI 2.0 signals up to 18 Gbps. It supports 4K resolution at 60 Hz with 4:4:4 chroma sampling and 8-bit colour depth. The plenum-rated (CMP) jacket allows installation in air-handling spaces such as above suspended ceilings. Directional connectors are clearly marked Source and Display for correct orientation.

Plenum Rated for In-Wall Installation

The CMP-rated jacket meets fire-safety requirements for routing through plenum spaces without conduit. At 4.5 mm outer diameter the cable remains thin enough for tight cavities and long pulls. Gold-plated HDMI Type A male connectors on both ends resist corrosion and maintain reliable contact. Because the cable is directional the Source end must connect to the playback device and the Display end to the screen.

Consistent 18 Gbps Over Full Length

Active optical conversion inside the connectors maintains the full 18 Gbps bandwidth across the entire 50 ft run without the signal loss typical of passive copper at this distance. The design reduces EMI and RFI interference in electrically noisy environments. Supported features include HDR, EDID, HDCP 2.2, 3D, CEC and ARC plus multi-channel audio such as Dolby Atmos and DTS-HD Master Audio. The cable is not bi-directional and must be installed with the labelled ends in their correct roles.
