15 ft Cat6A cable for 10 GbE links

This 15 ft Cat6A patch cable uses 4-pair UTP construction with 24 AWG stranded pure copper conductors and RJ45 plugs carrying 50 micron gold-plated contacts. The CM-rated PVC jacket meets TIA/EIA requirements verified by UL and ETL, and the wiring follows the T568B standard. It is built for 10 Gigabit Ethernet runs up to 100 metres (328 ft) at a minimum 500 MHz frequency.

Sustained 10 GbE throughput at 500 MHz

Rated for a minimum 500 MHz operating frequency and a 550 MHz bandwidth rating, the cable maintains the signal integrity required for continuous 10,000Base-T traffic rather than only short bursts. Crosstalk suppression and the stranded copper design support stable performance across the full 100 metre channel, while the CM jacket provides the heat dissipation needed for PoE applications under load.

Replaces Cat5e or Cat6 when 10 GbE is required

The jump is justified when the network infrastructure moves to 10 Gigabit Ethernet and existing Cat5e or Cat6 links cannot guarantee the 500 MHz headroom. Builders staying at 1000Base-T or below will not see a throughput gain, and installations needing shielded cable for high-EMI environments must select a different construction.
