This one-foot Cat6A UTP patch cable connects LAN components such as PCs, servers, printers, routers and switches. It uses 24 AWG stranded pure copper conductors with gold-plated RJ45 contacts and snagless moulded boots. The cable is wired to the T568B standard and meets TIA/EIA requirements verified by UL and ETL. It is supplied new in white.

Capacity and headroom

Rated for a minimum frequency of 500 MHz, the cable supports 10Base-T, 100Base-T, 1000Base-T and 10,000Base-T Ethernet up to the channel limit of 100 metres (328 feet). At this one-foot length it provides ample headroom for 10 Gigabit Ethernet over copper in rack or desktop patches. The unshielded twisted-pair construction suits typical indoor environments without external interference sources.

Unshielded UTP construction

Because the cable is unshielded UTP rather than shielded FTP or STP, it is not intended for installations that run parallel to power cables, fluorescent ballasts or other strong EMI sources. Buyers who need alien-crosstalk immunity in dense bundles or outdoor runs should select a shielded category cable instead.
