20 ft Cat6A cable for 10 Gigabit runs

This 20 ft Cat6A patch cable uses four-pair unshielded twisted-pair construction with 24 AWG stranded pure copper conductors. RJ45 plugs at both ends carry 50 micron gold-plated contacts. The CM-rated PVC jacket follows T568B wiring and meets UL, ETL and RoHS compliance.

Practical limit at 100 metres for 10 Gigabit

Cat6A is specified for 10 Gigabit Ethernet up to 100 metres (328 feet). This 20 ft length stays well inside that distance, so the 500 MHz minimum frequency and 550 MHz rating can deliver full bandwidth without the signal loss that appears on longer runs.

Replaces Cat5e when 10 Gigabit is needed

Cat5e cannot reliably carry 10 Gigabit speeds; this Cat6A cable adds crosstalk suppression and better heat dissipation for PoE loads. The jump is worth it when the network gear negotiates 10000Base-T or when future-proofing a 1000Base-T install.
