35 ft Cat6A patch cable for 10 Gigabit Ethernet

This 35 ft Nippon Labs cable is a Cat6A UTP patch cord built for 10 Gigabit Ethernet up to 100 meters. It uses 24 AWG stranded pure copper conductors and RJ45 plugs with 50 micron gold contacts. The CM rated PVC jacket meets TIA/EIA standards verified by UL and ETL and is RoHS compliant. It suits home, office and data centre runs that need 10,000Base-T performance.

Thermals, noise and power draw

As a passive copper cable it generates no heat, produces no noise and draws no power of its own. The 24 AWG stranded conductors and UTP construction provide better heat dissipation for Power over Ethernet applications than smaller gauge cables. The CM type PVC jacket is rated for in-wall use without adding thermal load. Operation is completely silent and does not affect the power budget of connected switches or endpoints.

Upgrading from Cat5e or Cat6

Replaces Cat5e or standard Cat6 links when 10 Gigabit throughput or 500 MHz bandwidth is required. The jump is worth it for new 10GBASE-T gear, PoE+ deployments needing lower conductor heating, or any run approaching the 100 meter channel limit where crosstalk margin matters. It is not for builders who need shielded cable for high EMI environments or installations requiring outdoor or plenum rated jackets.
