Nippon Labs Cat6A 5 ft patch cable

This 5 ft Cat6A UTP patch cable carries 10 Gigabit Ethernet over copper. It uses 24 AWG stranded pure copper conductors and RJ45 plugs with 50 micron gold contacts. The CM-rated PVC jacket meets TIA/EIA standards verified by UL and ETL. It is suited for workstations, servers and switches needing 10 Gbps links up to 100 metres.

Check connector and length before ordering

Verify that both endpoints use RJ45 ports and that a 5 ft run reaches between them without tension. The cable follows T568B wiring and supports 10Base-T, 100Base-T, 1000Base-T and 10000Base-T standards. Ensure the patch panel or keystone accepts unshielded 24 AWG plugs. No shielded or outdoor-rated jacket is provided.

Replaces Cat5e or Cat6 links for 10 Gbps

Moving from Cat5e or standard Cat6 to this Cat6A cable enables 10 Gigabit speeds at 500 MHz bandwidth with better crosstalk suppression and heat dissipation for PoE. The upgrade is worth it when 10 Gbps NICs or switches are installed and runs stay within 100 metres. It does not add shielding for high-EMI environments.
