Cat 7 SSTP 2 ft patch cable

This 2 ft Cat 7 patch cable uses SSTP construction with four individually shielded pairs and an overall braided shield. It is rated for 600 MHz transmission frequencies over 100 meters of cabling. The 26 AWG stranded pure copper conductors terminate in RJ45 plugs with 50 micron gold plated contacts. A CM type PVC jacket and molded strain relief boots complete the assembly.

Upgrade from Cat 6 to Cat 7 shielding

Cat 7 specifies more stringent crosstalk and system noise limits than Cat 6, making the jump worthwhile when running Gigabit Ethernet in electrically noisy environments. The double shielded design suppresses alien crosstalk between adjacent cables in dense patches. If the existing run is short and interference is low, Cat 6 may already meet the need.

Fits tight panels and dense switch rows

The short 2 ft length reduces slack in crowded rack units or behind desk mounted switches where longer cables would block airflow. Shielded RJ45 plugs seat securely in standard keystone jacks and switch ports wired to the T568B standard. The white jacket aids visual tracing in bundles with multiple cable colours. It does not suit runs that require longer reach or in wall installation without additional cable.
