50 ft Cat7 shielded patch cable

This 50 ft Cat7 cable uses double-shielded SSTP construction with 26 AWG stranded pure copper conductors. Each of the four pairs is individually foil-shielded beneath an overall braided screen. RJ45 plugs carry 50 micron gold-plated contacts and follow T-568B wiring. The CM-rated PVC jacket meets UL and ETL verification and RoHS requirements.

Upgrade from unshielded Cat5e or Cat6 runs

The 600 MHz bandwidth supports Gigabit Ethernet with tighter crosstalk and noise margins than lower categories. Shielding pays off in environments with dense cable bundles, fluorescent lighting or nearby power lines. For short desktop links under 10 ft the extra screening may not be necessary, but longer runs through walls or ceilings benefit from the added immunity.

Limited to 100 m channel length for rated

The 600 MHz rating is specified over 100 meters (328 ft) of fully shielded cabling. At 50 ft this cable stays well within that limit, but total channel length including patch cords and horizontal runs must not exceed 100 m. Connectors are standard RJ45; they do not use the GG45 or TERA interfaces defined for full Cat7 compliance, so installed hardware must accept standard 8P8C plugs.
