This 1 ft Cat8 U/FTP cable uses 30 AWG stranded pure copper conductors and gold-plated RJ45 plugs to deliver up to 40 Gbps data rates. Backward compatibility covers existing Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A and Cat7 equipment.

Sustained throughput at 2 GHz bandwidth

The foil shielding around each twisted pair maintains signal integrity at the full 2 GHz operating frequency, so the link holds its rated speed during long transfers rather than throttling after a short burst. Gold-plated contacts resist oxidation that would otherwise degrade performance over time. T568B wiring ensures consistent pin-out across the installation. The cable meets the electrical requirements for emerging 25GBASE-T and 40GBASE-T networks.

Low-profile build with snagless strain relief

A soft-flex push tab and moulded strain relief prevent the latch from catching on adjacent cables during moves or maintenance. The CM-rated PVC jacket is flexible enough for tight bends without kinking, while the overall diameter stays small for airflow in crowded cable trays. Shielded metal connector housings contain electromagnetic leakage in normal office or data-centre environments. Power draw is passive — no external supply is required.
