Ultra-short Cat8 patch cable

The Nippon Labs 60CAT8-1-30WT is a one-foot Cat8 Ethernet cable built for 40 Gbps links at 2 GHz bandwidth. Its 30 AWG stranded copper conductors and U/FTP foil shielding suit dense rack patches or tight desk runs where a standard cable would be too stiff. Backward compatibility covers Cat5e through Cat7 equipment. The white CM-rated PVC jacket keeps the run visible in dark enclosures.

Thermals noise and power

As a passive copper cable it draws no power and generates no heat or audible noise during operation. The individually foil-shielded pairs suppress alien crosstalk up to the rated 2000 MHz frequency, so signal integrity stays clean without active cooling or external shielding. Gold-plated contacts rated at 50 microns resist oxidation that could degrade performance over time. No fan, pump or power supply is involved in normal use.

Build quality and daily handling

The slim 30 AWG construction bends easily around cable managers and through narrow trunking without kinking. Each RJ45 plug carries a metal-shielded housing and a soft-flex push tab that releases cleanly even when ports are stacked tightly.
