At 2 GHz the cable supports 40 Gbps over short copper runs typical of rack or desk-side connections. Performance falls off beyond the channel lengths defined for 25 GBASE-T and 40 GBASE-T, so longer horizontal cabling should use the appropriate category instead. The slim 30 AWG construction keeps the bend radius tight for dense patch panels.

Gold-plated RJ45 with snagless strain relief

Both ends terminate in RJ45 plugs with 50 µm gold-plated contacts and metal-shielded housings. A soft-flex push tab and moulded strain-relief boot prevent snagging and protect the latch during frequent moves.
