This Cat 8 patch cable supports frequencies up to 2,000 MHz and data rates up to 40 Gbps, making it suitable for emerging 25GBASE-T and 40GBASE-T links. The 2 ft length suits tight rack or desk runs where long cables would add clutter. It is fully backward compatible with existing Cat 5e, Cat 6 and Cat 6A equipment.

Shielded pairs maintain signal integrity under load

Each of the four twisted pairs is wrapped in aluminium foil and the whole bundle sits under a braided shield, a construction rated S/FTP that resists alien crosstalk and EMI during sustained 40 Gbps transfers. The 26 AWG stranded pure copper conductors keep resistance low so attenuation stays within spec even when the link runs at the full 2 GHz bandwidth for extended periods.

Rugged connectors and a durable jacket simplify

Gold-plated RJ45 contacts rated at 50 µm resist corrosion through repeated mating cycles. A moulded strain-relief boot and snagless push-tab prevent latch damage when cables are routed through crowded panels or pulled through conduit. The PVC jacket is rated for in-wall and outdoor use, so the same cable can move between indoor patching and exterior runs without replacement.
