Practical limits of Cat8 40 Gbps over copper

The 40 Gbps rating applies only when both ends negotiate 40GBASE-T and the channel meets Cat8 installation requirements. Shielding is mandatory at 2000 MHz, so the cable must remain fully shielded to the connector. Performance drops to the lowest common category if any link partner or patch panel is rated below Cat8.

Straightforward RJ45 installation

Gold-plated RJ45 plugs feature a soft flex push tab and moulded strain relief for easy lock and unlock. The snagless boot prevents the tab from catching on adjacent cables.
