It uses 24 AWG stranded copper conductors with a pair separator to reduce crosstalk. The flexible PVC jacket and injection-moulded boots protect the 50 micron gold-plated RJ45 plugs during routine handling.

Sustained signal quality over 550 MHz bandwidth

The cable is rated for 550 MHz, supporting 10 Gigabit Ethernet as well as 1000 BASE-T, 100 BASE-T and 10 BASE-T without the signal degradation seen on lower-rated wire. Pair separation and bare copper conductors keep crosstalk low during continuous high-throughput transfers such as large file moves or PoE-powered device operation. It meets TIA/EIA 568-C.2 and 568-B-2.1 draft 9 standards for consistent performance.

Length and category define the practical limit

At 25 ft the run stays well within the 100 m maximum for Cat6 horizontal links, so 10 Gbps operation is viable without repeaters. The unshielded design means the cable is not suited for environments with strong electromagnetic interference where shielded or fibre alternatives would be required. PoE heating is mitigated by the conductor geometry, but total bundle size and ambient temperature still govern safe power delivery.
