15 ft Cat6 cable for dense patches

This 15 ft Cat6 patch cable uses 28 AWG stranded bare-copper conductors and gold-plated RJ45 plugs to link routers, switches, NAS units, VoIP phones and PoE devices. The ultra-slim profile and snagless boots let it route cleanly through crowded racks and patch panels. It is rated for 550 MHz bandwidth and supports 10-Gigabit Ethernet while remaining backward compatible with Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet.

Replaces bulky Cat5e or standard Cat6 runs

Swap this cable in when existing patch leads are too thick for high-density panels or when snagging boots damage adjacent ports during moves. The 28 AWG construction saves space in cable managers and improves airflow, making the upgrade worthwhile wherever rack density or frequent re-patching are daily concerns.

Limited by Cat6 UTP distance and connector density

Unshielded twisted-pair Cat6 is specified for 10 Gbps only up to 55 metres, so 10-Gigabit links longer than that will fall back to 1 Gbps. The RJ45 footprint still governs port spacing, so the cable cannot overcome the physical port pitch of the switch or panel it plugs into.
