Two-port VGA KVM switch

This two-port VGA KVM switch lets one keyboard, mouse and monitor control two computers. It ships with two combined VGA and USB cables so each host connects with a single lead. The unit draws power from the USB ports and needs no external adapter or driver installation. It suits home offices, classrooms or server closets where desk space is limited.

1920 x 1440 video ceiling

The switch tops out at 1920 x 1440 resolution, so higher-definition sources will be scaled down. VGA signalling also means no digital audio or HDCP handshake, limiting use with protected media streams. Cable length and signal quality will affect stability at the maximum resolution, especially on longer runs. Hot-plug detection works through DDC, but very old or very new graphics outputs may not negotiate correctly.

Two-computer limit and three USB ports

The box handles exactly two connected PCs and shares up to three USB peripherals such as a keyboard, mouse and printer. Adding a third computer is not possible without a second switch, and the single USB hub cannot support high-power devices like external hard drives.
