Pipe Fitting Insulation
This Nomaco Kflex elbow insulation fits 1 1/2 in piping with a 1 in wall thickness. It is made from NBR/PVC and coloured black. The fitting covers a 90 degree bend on ducts, tanks or piping. It suits installers who need thermal protection on curved pipe sections.
Upgrade from bare or thinner wrap
The insulation provides an approximate R value of 6.7 across a temperature range of -297 Degrees F to 220 Degrees F. The jump is worth it when existing wrap is damaged, missing or rated for a narrower range. It replaces basic foam or tape that cannot maintain performance at extreme low or high temperatures.
Simple push-on installation
The pre-formed 90 degree elbow slides over the fitting without cutting. Ensure the pipe outer diameter matches the 1 1/2 in size so the nominal 2 in I.D. seats correctly. Problems usually arise when the insulation is forced onto oversized pipe or when the seam is left unsealed against moisture.
