Pastel mechanical pencils for students

BIC Xtra-Smooth Pastel Mechanical Pencils come in a 24-count pack designed for students from middle school through college. The 0.7 mm medium point delivers consistent lines on all paper types. Trendy pastel barrels make them easy to spot in any pencil case. Certified No. 2 lead meets requirements for most standardized tests.

Built-in eraser advances lead

Each pencil features a built-in eraser that advances the lead with a single click. This mechanism eliminates the need for sharpening during class or study time. The smudge-resistant HB lead erases cleanly to keep assignments neat. Colorful clips attach to notebooks and folders for quick access throughout the day.

24-count bulk pack covers the year

The 24-count supply stocks a backpack, pencil case, and locker from the first day through finals. The 0.7 mm point handles daily writing, note-taking, and test sheets comfortably. Buyers who need finer lines for technical drawing or thicker leads for heavy shading will not find those options here. The pack provides enough pencils for a full school year without running out.

Questions about this item

How many lead refills will the 24-pack need for a full school year?

Each pencil uses standard 0.7 mm HB lead refills; the 24-count pack provides enough barrels to last through the year, and refills are sold separately in 12-count tubes.

What wears out first when the pencils are used daily in class?

The erasers on the click-advance mechanism wear down before the plastic barrels, so keeping spare erasers or replacement pencils on hand keeps writing uninterrupted.

Do the pastel barrels get hot or slippery during long writing sessions?

The lightweight plastic barrels stay at room temperature and the pastel finish provides a comfortable, non-slip grip for extended note-taking.
