Entrance mat for indoor use

The Notrax 136S0035CH is a charcoal entrance mat measuring 3 ft by 5 ft with a vinyl backing. It suits lobbies, schools and entranceways where a low-profile mat is needed. The flat edge style keeps the surface even with surrounding flooring. Face material weight is 24 oz per square yard.

Vinyl backing on carpet and hard floors

The vinyl backing grips carpet, floors and rugs without shifting. At a quarter-inch thick the mat clears most door swings and does not create a tripping hazard. Crush-resistant construction recovers from foot traffic and wheeled loads. The mat can be laundered for routine maintenance.

Sustained foot traffic and wheeled loads

Crush-resistant fibres maintain surface integrity under daily use in schools and lobbies. Vinyl backing resists curling after repeated cleaning cycles. The quarter-inch profile stays stable under rolling loads without permanent compression. Antimicrobial treatment is not included.

Questions about this item

How much surface weight does the 24 oz/sq yd face material add before the vinyl backing starts to compress?

The face material weighs 24 oz/sq yd and is crush resistant, so it resists compression under normal foot traffic on carpet or hard floors.

Does the vinyl backing retain heat or emit odour when the mat is used indoors all day?

The vinyl backing is designed for indoor use on carpet, floors or rugs and contains no DOP, so it does not retain noticeable heat or emit odour during extended indoor use.

What floor type must already be in place for the 3 ft x 5 ft mat to lie flat and stay secure?

The mat is made for carpet, floors or rugs; its flat edge style and vinyl backing keep it stable on any of those existing surfaces.
