DVI-I (24+5) to VGA (15-pin) adapter
This passive adapter connects a DVI-I female port to a VGA male plug, passing analog video signals only. It suits owners of legacy monitors or projectors that need a DVI-I source. It does not support digital DVI-D signals or audio transmission.
Analog-only conversion limits
The adapter carries the analog pins from a DVI-I (24+5) connector to a standard 15-pin VGA interface. It cannot convert a pure DVI-D output or an HDMI source to VGA. Buyers needing digital-to-analog conversion require an active converter instead.
Thumbscrew mounting and build
Thumbscrews and barrel nuts secure the VGA side without tools, while the DVI-I female receptacle accepts a standard cable. The moulded housing is lightweight and intended for occasional reconnection rather than constant strain. P/N #45 DVF TO VGAF.

Questions about this item
Should I choose the 24+5 DVI-I female or a different DVI variant?
Pick this 24+5 DVI-I female when your source or display uses the full analog pin set; a DVI-D plug lacks the four extra pins and will not fit.
What does the 15-pin VGA male connector actually carry in use?
It passes the analog RGBHV signals from the DVI-I side so a VGA monitor or projector receives the same video the card outputs.
Does the DVI-I analog interface limit the resolution or refresh rate I can run?
The analog DVI-I link is bound by VGA signalling, so practical limits follow the cable and display quality rather than a fixed digital ceiling.
