NShi S9 1080P Spy Camera

The NShi S9 is a miniature wireless camera that records 1080P video with a 150° field of view. It weighs .66 ounces and measures 1.5 inches per side, making it one of the smallest models available in 2023. The device includes six non-luminous infrared LEDs for automatic night vision and connects via 2.4GHz WiFi for remote viewing through a free iOS or Android app.

Indoor monitoring with flexible storage

This camera suits homeowners or renters wanting discreet indoor surveillance with optional local recording on a Class 10 microSD card up to 128GB. It also supports direct phone connection within 5 metres without a network. Buyers who need continuous power, outdoor durability, or 5GHz network compatibility should look at something else because the battery lasts five hours and the hardware is limited to 2.4GHz.

Five-hour battery runtime

The built-in battery provides approximately five hours of operation per charge, which is the single specification that determines whether this camera fits a specific monitoring task. Users planning longer unattended sessions must provide external power or accept the limited runtime. No other power source is included.

Questions about this item

Does the S9 require a separate microSD card for local recording?

Yes, local loop recording needs a Class 10 or faster microSD card up to 128 GB; the card is not included with the camera.

Can I view the live stream on my phone without connecting the camera to my 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network?

Yes, the app supports a direct phone-to-camera link for live viewing within 5 m, no router or SD card required.

How do I confirm the night vision is active after dark?

The six non-luminance IR LEDs illuminate automatically in low light; check the app feed — the scene should appear clearly in monochrome.
