Physical Special Edition

Battle Axe arrives on PlayStation 5 as a brand new physical Special Edition. The cartridge-style release lets collectors own a tangible copy of the arcade hack-and-slash adventure. It marks the first time the title has been available on the platform in boxed form.

Arcade Action & Co-op

Challenging gameplay comes from Bitmap Bureau, the studio behind XenoCrisis and Final Vendetta. Three distinct heroes offer signature weapons, traits and special abilities for solo runs or local two-player co-op. Jaw-dropping pixel art by Henk Nieborg and a soundtrack by Manami Matsumae complete the presentation.

Modern Twist on Classics

The experience pays homage to arcade greats such as Gauntlet and Golden Axe while adding a modern twist from an experienced dev team. Buyers wanting a digital-only release or online multiplayer will not find those options here. The package suits players who value physical media and couch co-op.
