NVIDIA 200 Gb/s fibre optic cable 50 m

This NVIDIA fibre optic cable carries data at 200 Gb/s over a 50 metre run. It is built for VPI, InfiniBand HDR and 200 GbE links in high-performance compute and storage clusters.

Suited for HDR InfiniBand

Not for users who need copper DAC lengths or lower-speed Ethernet connections. Buyers requiring different connector types or shorter distances should consider other cable families.

200 Gb/s rated bandwidth over 50 metres

The 200 Gb/s rating across the full 50 metre length is the specification that determines whether this cable meets the link budget for a given HDR or 200 GbE installation.

Questions about this item

What is the maximum data rate this 50m fibre cable supports?

The cable is rated for 200Gb/s operation over the full 50m length.

How much power does the cable assembly draw during continuous 200Gb/s operation?

As a passive optical assembly it draws no external power; any consumption comes from the transceiver modules at each end.

Which transceiver form factor and port speed must the host equipment provide for this cable to function?

The link requires VPI-compatible ports running at 200Gb/s, supporting both IB HDR and 200GbE protocols.
