NVIDIA Active Copper Cable 1600Gbps OSFP 2m IHS 9809IAM300X002

SKU CH-W12H-S0GPF

Active copper cable delivers 1600 Gbps over 2 m between OSFP IHS ports

  • 1600 Gbps bandwidth for high-speed interconnects
  • 2 metre reach connects adjacent racks
  • Active copper design maintains signal integrity
  • OSFP connectors ensure direct compatibility

Active Copper Cable for 1600 Gbps Links

This NVIDIA active copper cable delivers 1600 Gbps throughput between OSFP ports over a 2 metre reach. It suits data-centre operators and high-performance-computing clusters that need deterministic, low-latency interconnects without optical transceivers. Buyers who require longer runs or single-mode fibre compatibility should evaluate alternative media.

IHS-to-IHS Mechanical Interface

The cable terminates in IHS connectors at both ends, providing a direct mechanical and electrical mate for compatible OSFP cages. This fixed assembly eliminates separate module and patch-cord procurement but cannot be adapted to flat-top or angled-connector variants. Teams needing breakout configurations or mixed-connector topologies must source different cable assemblies.

Questions about this item

How often will the 2m active copper cable need replacement under normal operation?

The cable is a passive assembly with no moving parts or consumable components, so it does not require scheduled replacement.

What limits sustained throughput on this 1600Gbps OSFP link?

Sustained throughput is limited by the 1600Gbps signalling rate of the OSFP connectors and the thermal capacity of the 2m copper assembly.
