M.2 Key A to Mini PCI-E adapter

This adapter converts an NGFF M.2 Key A Wi-Fi and Bluetooth card to a Mini PCI-E slot. It supports Intel wireless modules 7260, 7265, 8260, 8265, 9260, 9560 and AX200. The board provides a direct mechanical and electrical interface without active components. Builders upgrading legacy laptops or small-form-factor systems can retain existing Mini PCI-E sockets while using newer M.2 Key A cards.

Passive design with no thermal or power overhead

The converter draws no additional power and adds no active cooling requirement. Signal integrity is maintained through a straight-through PCB trace layout. Normal operation produces no audible noise and imposes negligible thermal load on the host platform. Users who need an active bridge, voltage translation or support for M.2 Key E or Key M modules should select a different solution.

Questions about this item

How do I install the M.2 Key A card into the Mini PCI-E slot using this adapter?

Align the M.2 Key A card with the adapter connector, secure it with the mounting screw, then insert the adapter into the Mini PCI-E slot and fasten the bracket screw. The step often missed is tightening the card to the adapter before slotting the assembly into the motherboard.

Will the adapter or the Intel 7260 7265 8260 8265 9260 9560 AX200 card need replacement after a certain period?

The adapter is a passive PCB with no moving parts and requires no scheduled replacement. The Intel wireless card may need driver updates over time, but the adapter itself does not wear out under normal use.
