The OnePlus 12R is an unlocked Android smartphone with 16GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It runs Android 14.0 and connects to 5G networks on any compatible carrier. The 6.82-inch display makes it a capable daily driver for media and productivity.

Who this suits and who it does not

This phone suits buyers who want a large AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, fast 80W wired charging and a 5500 mAh battery. It also fits users who value a triple-camera system led by a 50MP main sensor. Buyers who need expandable storage should look elsewhere.

The spec that decides fit

The 1.5K Super Fluid AMOLED display with LTPO technology that dynamically adjusts from 1Hz to 120Hz is the defining specification. If your priority is a high-refresh screen with adaptive refresh for battery savings, this model matches that need.

Questions about this item

How long can the 5500 mAh battery last during continuous heavy use before needing the 80W charger?

The 5500 mAh cell is the largest ever fitted to a OnePlus phone; paired with the included 80W SUPERVOOC charger it delivers a full charge in roughly half an hour, letting you top up quickly between sessions.

Does the Dual Cryo-velocity VC cooling system keep the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 quiet and cool during all-day gaming?

The Dual Cryo-velocity vapour-chamber setup spreads heat across a larger surface, so the frame stays comfortable and the phone avoids throttling even during extended graphics-intensive loads.

What SIM cards do I need to use the dual-SIM 5G capability on this unlocked unit?

You need two active nano-SIMs from any compatible carrier; the handset is factory unlocked for all networks and supports 5G on both slots simultaneously.
