throw laser projector casts a 100-inch image from a few feet away with 4,200 lumens for lights-on viewing
Model GT2100HDR
The Optoma GT2100HDR is a new DLP home-theatre projector that delivers 4200 lumens at native 1080p resolution. A laser light source rated for 30000 hours removes lamp replacements and keeps power draw low. Its 0.496:1 short-throw lens produces a 100-inch diagonal image from a short distance, suiting living rooms, bedrooms or compact gaming dens where ceiling mounting is impractical.
The solid-state laser engine replaces traditional mercury lamps, cutting power consumption by up to 45 percent and eliminating warm-up time. If you currently run a lamp projector that demands frequent bulb changes or struggles with ambient light, the 4200-lumen output and 300000:1 static contrast make daytime viewing viable without blackout curtains. The external power supply also improves reliability and portability for semi-permanent setups.
Two HDMI 2.0 inputs accept 4K UHD and HDR signals but downscale them to the native 1920x1080 panel. Gaming at 1080p 120Hz is supported with 8.6ms input lag, while 4K 60Hz content arrives at 17ms latency. The projector cannot display native 4K resolution or refresh rates above 120Hz, and its single 3.5mm audio output requires an external sound system or powered speakers for room-filling audio.

Other versions of this model
The short throw lens produces a 100 inch picture from roughly 1.2 metres, with a usable throw distance range of 0.4 m to 3.2 m.
Connect the external power supply to the projector first, then plug it into mains power, and finally attach your HDMI sources to the two HDMI 2.0 ports.
The DuraCore laser is rated for 30,000 hours; after that period brightness will gradually decline and the whole light engine would be serviced rather than a lamp swapped.
