Portable full-HD laser projector

The Optoma ML1080ST is an ultra-portable DLP projector weighing 2.3 lbs and built around an RGB triple laser light source. It delivers native 1080p resolution with 1200 lumens of brightness for professionals who need a compact display they can carry between meeting rooms or temporary installations.

Brightness and throw performance

At 1200 lumens the image remains visible in moderately lit spaces, while the short-throw lens produces a large picture from a short distance. The laser engine is rated for 30000 hours in normal mode and a 3000000:1 contrast ratio provides deep blacks, though very bright rooms will still wash out the picture.

Build and connectivity

The white chassis includes automatic keystone correction and focus so the image squares up instantly after placement. A carry bag, remote control, power cable and adapter ship in the box, and an HDMI input plus USB port handle video and power for streaming sticks without extra adapters.

Questions about this item

Will this 1200 lm short-throw projector work with my older laptop that only has VGA output?

The ML1080ST provides an HDMI input; a VGA-to-HDMI adapter or cable is required to connect a legacy VGA source.

How can I verify the RGB triple laser engine is delivering the rated 1080p image after I set it up?

Display a native 1080p test pattern and confirm the auto keystone and focus produce a straight, sharp picture with vibrant colour across the entire screen.

Does the box include a carry bag and power adapter, or do I need to purchase them separately?

The package ships with a carry bag, power cable, power adapter, remote control and user manual — no extra accessories are required for basic operation.
