Replacement lamp module with 180W Osram P-VIP bulb and housing, rated for 5000 to 6000 hours
This 180W replacement module combines a new Osram P-VIP bulb with its housing for immediate installation in compatible Optoma projectors. The assembly arrives fully assembled so no extra tools or alignment steps are required. It restores original brightness and colour performance without modification.
Normal mode delivers 5000 hours of operation while economy mode extends that to 6000 hours by reducing lamp power and heat output. Lower heat in economy mode also means quieter fan operation during typical viewing sessions. The 180W rating defines the thermal load the projector cooling system must handle.
The lamp maintains stable ignition voltage and beam performance from first use through the rated 5000 or 6000 hour span. ISO9001 manufacturing checks verify run-time consistency so brightness does not decay prematurely under sustained operation. Economy mode further reduces thermal stress during extended presentations.

Power off and unplug the projector, let it cool completely, remove the lamp cover, unscrew the old module, insert the new TX551 housing until it seats firmly, tighten the screws, replace the cover, then reset the lamp timer in the menu — skipping the timer reset makes the projector think the old lamp is still fitted.
The lamp itself is the only replaceable part; after 5,000 hours in Normal mode or 6,000 hours in Economy mode the brightness drops and the module must be swapped for a new TX551 unit — no filters or other consumables belong to this lamp.
The 5,000-hour Normal-mode rating is the first hard limit; running continuously in Normal mode reaches that threshold before the 6,000-hour Economy rating, so the lamp must be replaced once the timer hits 5,000 hours.
