Orbram Cat 8 Ethernet Cable 50 ft

This 50 ft Cat 8 patch cord supports up to 40000 Mbps and 2000 MHz bandwidth. It is built for server applications, cloud storage, online HD video streaming and gaming. The S/FTP shielding and 24K gold-plated RJ45 connectors reduce crosstalk and interference.

Flat nylon-braided design for simple routing

The flat profile avoids tangled cords and slides along walls, edges or corners. Flexible construction makes indoor and outdoor runs straightforward. No special tools are required; the RJ45 ends snap into standard ports on routers, modems, PCs, consoles and NAS devices.

Backwards compatible with Cat 5 through Cat 6A

The cable works with existing Cat 5, Cat 5e, Cat 6 and Cat 6A infrastructure. Maximum performance depends on the connected hardware supporting Cat 8 speeds. Shielding improves reliability in noisy environments, but total link length and switch capabilities still govern throughput.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the cable is delivering the rated 40000 Mbps speed after I plug it in?

Run a speed test on your router or PC; if the link negotiates at 40 Gbps and you see throughput near 40000 Mbps with low latency, the cable is performing to spec.

What comes in the package and is anything else required for installation?

The box contains the 50 ft flat Cat 8 patch cord with gold-plated RJ45 connectors on both ends; no extra couplers or tools are needed for a standard connection.

Should I choose this 50 ft length or a different size for my setup?

Pick the 50 ft version when the run between devices is close to that distance; shorter lengths reduce slack and longer ones are available if you need more reach.
