Compact 2.5-inch drive case

The Orico PHD-25 is a blue EVA hard-shell case sized for a single 2.5-inch HDD or SSD. Inner dimensions are 5.5 by 3.5 by 1.0 inches and the unit weighs 110 g. It also fits power banks up to 5.9 by 3.3 inches, cables and small accessories.

Check drive dimensions before ordering

Verify that your 2.5-inch drive and any attached cable measure within the 5.5 x 3.5 x 1.0 inch cavity. The built-in elastic straps and mesh pocket secure the drive and a USB cable, but oversized enclosures or bulky connectors will not close properly.

Replaces soft pouches and loose storage

The rigid shell, waterproof fabric and shock-absorbing liner upgrade from basic sleeves that only guard against scratches. The jump is worth it when drives travel in luggage, tool bags or stacked crates where impact, dust and moisture are daily risks.

Questions about this item

Does the case ship with any cables or drives, or do I buy those separately?

The case is sold empty. No drive, cable or adapter is included. You supply your own 2.5 inch HDD or SSD and the matching USB lead.

The inner size is 5.5×3.5×1.0 in — will a Samsung T5 1 TB fit inside?

Yes. The Samsung T5 series up to 4 TB is listed as compatible, and its footprint is smaller than the 5.5×3.5 in cavity.

The description says 110 g and 5.6×1.18×3.8 in — how much does that add to a laptop bag?

The empty case weighs 110 g and measures 5.6×1.18×3.8 in, so it adds roughly the bulk and weight of a slim paperback.
