2.5″ SATA USB-C Enclosure up to 6TB

This enclosure accepts a single 2.5-inch SATA hard drive or SSD with a maximum capacity of 6TB. It connects via USB Type-C using the SATA 3.0 interface and supports UASP and TRIM for efficient data handling. No external power adapter is required and the tool-free design allows quick drive swaps. An LED indicator shows activity status and a 10-minute auto-sleep function helps conserve power.

Laptop upgraders and portable backup users

It suits anyone adding external storage to a laptop, desktop, TV, PS5 or phone that has a USB-C port and wants a lightweight, bus-powered case. Builders who need to install 3.5″ drives, require multiple bays or depend on active cooling for continuous heavy writes should consider a different form factor.

Maximum capacity per bay 6TB

The enclosure supports drives up to 6TB per bay, which is the limiting specification for choosing a compatible drive. Exceeding this capacity is not supported by the controller.

Questions about this item

Which 2.5-inch SATA drive heights fit inside this enclosure?

The enclosure accepts both 7 mm and 9.5 mm thick 2.5-inch SATA hard drives or SSDs.

Will a USB 3.0 Type-A host still reach full SATA 6 Gbps speed with this USB-C enclosure?

A USB 3.0 Type-A port is limited to 5 Gbps, so the 6 Gbps SATA link will run at the host's lower ceiling; UASP and TRIM still function.

How does the LED indicator show that the drive is active versus asleep?

The LED lights during data transfer and turns off after ten minutes of inactivity when the auto-sleep mode engages.
