What the drive is and who it suits

The Orico e-Fox is a 2TB external solid-state drive finished in black leather-textured plastic with a silicone carry strap. It targets students and professionals who need fast, pocket-sized storage for photos, videos and large project files while on the move.

What to check on your existing setup

The drive ships with a 2-in-1 USB-C and USB-A cable for plug-and-play use with smartphones, tablets, laptops and PCs. Verify that your device offers a USB port capable of 5Gbps, 10Gbps or 20Gbps operation to reach the advertised transfer rates.

Behaviour under sustained load

Sequential reads reach up to 2050MB/s when the host interface supports 20Gbps throughput. The fingerprint-resistant, scratch-proof casing and compact 1.52.60.5 inch form factor help the drive maintain performance during extended transfers without thermal throttling concerns.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box and do I need to buy a cable separately?

The drive ships with a 2-in-1 USB-C and USB-A cable so you can connect to phones, laptops and tablets without buying anything extra.

Should I choose the 512 GB, 1 TB or 2 TB version?

Pick 2 TB if you store large video projects or full system backups; 1 TB suits photo libraries and documents; 512 GB is enough for everyday office files and light media.

What does the 2050 MB/s headline speed mean when I plug it into my laptop?

You will see up to 2050 MB/s sequential reads on a USB 20 Gbps port; on 10 Gbps or 5 Gbps ports the drive simply runs at the port's lower limit.
