Aluminium M.2 NVMe and SATA enclosure with USB 3.2 10 Gbps Type-C, 1000 MB/s peak, 2280 support, dual cable, rose gold
Color Rose Gold
Size M.2 NVMe / NGFF SSD
Model USB 3.2 Gen2 (10Gbps)
The Orico rose-gold case turns a single M.2 2280 NVMe or SATA SSD into a USB 3.2 Gen 2 external drive. It accepts both M-key and B+M-key modules, so most common stick-format SSDs fit without an adapter. The bundled 2-in-1 cable provides USB-C to C and USB-C to A connections for broad host compatibility.
A full-wrap aluminium cooling vest conducts heat away from the SSD on all sides, while CNC-cut stripes increase the surface area for passive dissipation. No fan is fitted, so operation stays silent. The USB 3.2 Gen 2 interface draws power directly from the host port, eliminating the need for a separate power supply.
The enclosure slides open for tool-free SSD installation and locks shut with a secure latch. Both NVMe and SATA protocols are supported, though SATA drives are limited to 480 MB/s theoretical throughput while NVMe drives can reach 1000 MB/s. The single-bay design accommodates only one drive at a time.

Slide the SSD into the M‑key or B+M‑key slot at a slight angle, press it down flat, then secure it with the screw; the step many skip is removing the protective film from the thermal pad so the aluminum vest can conduct heat properly.
The thermal pad between the SSD and the aluminum cooling vest can dry out or lose contact after extended use; replacing it with a fresh pad of the same thickness restores optimal heat transfer.
With an NVMe drive the USB 3.2 Gen 2 10 Gbps interface caps sustained throughput at about 1000 MB/s, while a SATA drive tops out at 6 Gbps or roughly 480 MB/s regardless of the drive’s own speed.
