Size M.2 NVME SSD

Model USB 3.2 Gen2x2 (20Gbps)

  • 20 Gbps bandwidth for fast external NVMe storage
  • Theoretical 2000 MB/s read and write speeds over USB 3.2 Gen2x2
  • Full aluminum body with CNC-cut cooling fins for efficient heat dissipation
  • Supports M-Key and B+M Key NVMe drives in 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 sizes
  • Included 2-in-1 cable provides USB-C to C at 20 Gbps and USB-C to A at 10 Gbps

Portable NVMe storage for M.2 drives

This enclosure turns a single M.2 NVMe SSD into an external drive with a 20 Gbps USB 3.2 Gen2x2 Type-C interface. Theoretical speeds reach 2000 MB/s. It suits users who want fast portable storage from an existing NVMe module without buying a pre-built drive.

Included 2-in-1 cable and cooling vest

The bundled cable provides both USB-C to USB-A at 10 Gbps and USB-C to USB-C at 20 Gbps connections. An aluminum cooling vest wraps the SSD on all sides, while the CNC-cut alloy body adds extra surface area for passive heat dissipation during sustained transfers.

Aluminum build with tool-free M.2 support

The all-aluminum chassis uses a sliding cover that holds M-key or B+M-key NVMe drives in 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 lengths without screws. SATA or AHCI protocol M.2 drives are not supported, so buyers with those modules will need a different enclosure.

Questions about this item

Does the aluminum cooling vest on this enclosure need any maintenance or replacement over time?

The aluminum cooling vest is a solid piece with no moving parts, so it does not require maintenance or replacement.

What limits the sustained transfer speed when using the USB-C to USB-C cable at 20Gbps?

The USB 3.2 Gen2x2 interface caps sustained throughput at the 20Gbps theoretical maximum, so the enclosure itself becomes the bottleneck.

How hot does the all-aluminum case get when the NVMe drive runs all day at 2000MB/s?

The CNC-cut aluminum shell and wrap-around cooling vest are designed to spread heat across the whole surface, keeping the drive within its normal operating range during continuous use.
