6-Fiber Splice Tray

This plastic tray fits inside standard server racks and cabinets to organise and protect up to six fusion splices. It is intended for network engineers and installers who need a compact, dedicated space for fibre management in FTTH terminal boxes, splice closures or optical cabinets.

Capacity and headroom

Each tray holds six fibres with room for splice protectors and excess cable length, supporting wavelengths at 850, 1310 and 1550 nm. The tray is not suited for higher-density deployments that require more than six splice positions in a single unit.

Dimensions and fit

The tray measures .52 x 3.83 x 3.31 inches, while the manufacturer also lists .47 x 8.78 x 4.57 inches for the same model; verify which set matches your enclosure before ordering.

Questions about this item

Will the 0.52" high tray fit in the 1U patch panel I already have?

The tray measures 0.52 inches high, 3.83 inches wide and 3.31 inches deep, so it fits standard 1U rack openings that accept those dimensions.

How do I confirm the splices are good at 1310 nm after I close the tray?

The tray supports working wavelengths of 850, 1310 and 1550 nm; verify splice loss with an OTDR or power meter at 1310 nm once the fibers are melted and protected inside.

Does the plastic tray come with splice protectors or do I order them separately?

The tray provides space for mounting splice protectors and excess fiber, but protectors, pigtails and cables are not included and must be purchased separately.
