A 16 GB DDR5 5200 ECC registered RDIMM for workstations, servers and NAS systems
Capacity 16GB
Rank 1Rx8
This OWC module delivers 16GB of DDR5 5200 memory with ECC registered operation at CL42 latency. It uses a 288-pin RDIMM form factor and runs at 1.1V, built to JEDEC and ROHS standards for workstation and server environments.
The registered buffer and ECC functionality require a platform that supports registered DDR5 DIMMs and cannot be mixed with unbuffered or load-reduced modules. A single 1Rx8 rank layout leaves additional slots free for capacity expansion on compatible motherboards.
Suited for administrators upgrading select workstations, NAS systems or network switches that accept registered ECC DDR5. Not for standard desktop PCs, consumer laptops or any system lacking registered memory support.
Measured against everything we stock in ECC Server RAM, at today’s prices. Recalculated every night.
New to this? Buying memory and SSDs with crypto — what to check, what it costs to pay, and what is never asked for.

Other versions of this model
At DDR5 5200 the module runs at CL42, so the CAS latency and data rate scale together; neither acts as a separate bottleneck under continuous load.
The 1.1 V DDR5 registered design keeps power draw low, and the bare PCB dissipates heat adequately in normal server airflow without a dedicated spreader.
Yes, the module requires a platform that accepts DDR5 ECC registered 288-pin RDIMMs; it will not function in unbuffered, load-reduced or non-DDR5 sockets.
