An 8 GB DDR3 1066 MHz CL7 SODIMM kit for 2008-2010 MacBook, MacBook Pro and Mac mini models
Capacity 8GB (2 x 4GB)
This 8 GB kit supplies two 4 GB DDR3 SO-DIMMs rated at 1066 MHz with CL7 latency. It is built for MacBook Pro models from 2008 through 2010, MacBook 13-inch unibody units, and Mac mini systems from 2009 onward. The modules are unbuffered and non-ECC, matching the original specification for these notebooks and small-form-factor desktops.
Each stick uses a 204-pin edge connector and operates at 1.5 V, fitting directly into the factory memory slots without adapters. The 340 mil board thickness and 4.8 by 6.8 inch dimensions follow the JEDEC SO-DIMM outline, so the modules seat securely in the tight compartments of the listed MacBooks and Mac mini. Gold-plated contacts resist oxidation over long service life.
The kit upgrades machines that shipped with 2 GB or 4 GB of memory, doubling or quadrupling the available RAM for smoother multitasking and larger project files. The jump is most worthwhile when the system currently runs a single module or a mismatched pair, because matched 4 GB sticks enable dual-channel bandwidth. Systems already populated with 8 GB of matched DDR3 1066 will not see a capacity gain from this kit.
