This 8GB DDR3L 1866 CL13 module is built for workstations, servers, NAS systems and routers that require registered ECC memory. It operates at 1.35V and uses a 240-pin 1Rx4 layout. Standard desktop boards cannot use registered DIMMs and will not post with this module installed.

Registered ECC design changes system behaviour

The registered buffer reduces electrical load on the memory controller, allowing larger capacities per channel in supported platforms. ECC circuitry detects and corrects single-bit errors, which protects data integrity in always-on workloads. Mixing this stick with unbuffered memory is not supported and will prevent boot.

Verify platform accepts DDR3L registered DIMMs

Check that your motherboard or chassis lists DDR3L 1866 registered ECC RDIMMs in its qualified vendor list. Confirm the memory controller supports 1.35V operation and 1Rx4 organisation. Systems limited to unbuffered or non-ECC modules cannot use this part.
