What this paper is and who buys it

Pacon 4742 is a 47 lb white drawing paper supplied in 500 sheet reams. It suits classrooms, studios and offices that need a bright surface for daily sketching, drafting or bulk printing tasks.

Limits of the inkjet surface

The 12 x 18 inch sheet accepts all dry media and works with inkjet output, but heavy saturation may cause cockling. The 47 lb weight is not designed for wet washes or double-sided marker rendering without bleed-through.

Installation and common issues

Sheets feed from the ream directly into standard trays; fan the stack first to prevent multi-feeds. Store flat in low humidity to stop edge curl, and keep the wrapper sealed until use to maintain the pure white finish.

Questions about this item

How do I decide between the 12 x 18 inch size and other dimensions?

This product is supplied only in 12 x 18 inch sheets; choose it when that exact format matches your project or printer tray.

What does the 47 lb weight mean for everyday printing?

At 47 lb the stock feels substantial, handles inkjet output without bleed and gives a firm surface for dry media.

Is there a coating or finish that limits which inks I can use?

The wove finish is uncoated and designed for inkjet and all dry media, so standard dye or pigment inks work without restriction.
